Poor diets are slowly killing us.

"Poor diets are among the top causes of ill health globally, accounting for nearly one in five deaths."

Why is it that a burger at McDonalds is 1 Euro but there is no cheap healthier version for 1 euro? If one wanted to be healthy they would need to spend at least 7 euro for a salad, which in reality isn't that healthy due to the serving count on their salad dressing.

Why is it that an app called Ice Check allowing users to search for nearby McDonald’s restaurants..whom have a working ice cream machine"  news and widely available.

However I rarely see major new agencies cover how they make their food, or the additives and ingredients used.

Most days, people end up tired looking for fast food or something similar that doesn't require alot of effort when hungry.   Advertising and misleading words on items go hand in hand, and mislead consumers into thinking what they are eating is good for them. Most either lack the knowledge or can't afford nutritious fresh food. As nowadays it is cheaper to buy unhealthy food, than it is to buy healthy food.

Certain initiatives should be made, for example a restrictions and regulation on adverts. It is unfair to the consumer to link certain things together due to advertising. For example, McDonalds had sponsored the world cup. Though is it ethical to show McDonalds adverts, while a sports game is on, implying a sort of health benefit.

To break it down simply, you should be smart and know what real food is and where it comes from. You should have realistic expectations for foods, and include things that grow in the ground, on a tree...ect.. including meat,egg,nuts..ect... Therefore knowing where it came from.
If there is a long lasting product or something with a long shift life, you should ask yourself, what is put into my food to make it last so long. Just by following this approach of real eating, you can increase your overall mood and health.
